As an industrial pure aluminum, it contains at least 99.6% Al, offering excellent ductility, corrosion resistance, and superior processing performance. Its strength is well-suited for stamping and forming processes.
1060-H24 aluminum sheet provides the required hardness and formability for bottle caps. Since the aluminum-plastic combination part comes into contact with the liquid inside the bottle, this material is primarily used in the cosmetics industry, with some applications in the pharmaceutical sector.
On the other hand, 8011 aluminum foil is typically used in a direct stamping process for bottle cap manufacturing. Compared to 1060 aluminum sheet, 8011 aluminum foil exhibits superior performance, making it the preferred choice for bottle cap production.
8011 Aluminum Alloy Bottle Cap Material
8011 aluminum foil is mainly composed of an Al-Fe-Si alloy, with trace impurity elements. It offers superior performance compared to pure aluminum foil. While 8011 aluminum sheet is less commonly used, 8011 aluminum foil is widely applied in the bottle cap industry due to its excellent characteristics, particularly in PP/ROPP bottle caps. It features good deep-drawing performance, low earing rate, and adequate strength after work hardening, making it ideal for bottle cap applications.

The production process of 8011 aluminum foil for bottle caps includes casting and hot rolling. Among them, 8011-H18 bottle cap foil is suitable for stamping shallow caps, using casting and rolling process; 8011-H16 bottle cap foil uses hot rolling process, mainly used for aluminum anti-theft bottle caps. Its thickness range is 0.15-0.27mm, thickness tolerance ±0.005mm, width range is 330-1000mm, width tolerance ±1mm, tensile strength is 150-165Mpa, and elongation is >2%.
In addition, 8011-H16 aluminum foil is widely used in medical and wine bottle caps. Since the tensile requirements of wine bottle caps are higher than those of medicinal bottle caps, there are certain differences in the annealing process between the two.
