Anodized Aluminum Discs for Non-Stick Cookware

Why Choose Anodized Aluminum Discs?

Traditional aluminum circles are lightweight and have excellent thermal conductivity, but their surfaces are easily scratched and prone to oxidation, which affects the durability and appearance of cookware. After anodizing treatment, the aluminum circle surface forms a dense oxide layer that significantly improves wear resistance and corrosion resistance, while also enhancing the adhesion of coatings, providing a solid foundation for non-stick layers.

In modern non-stick cookware production, anodized aluminum circle discs are usually used as pan body blanks, which undergo spinning, high-temperature anodization, and coating to produce the finished cookware. Their stable dimensional accuracy and high-quality surface are key factors determining the performance and appearance of non-stick pans.

Common Alloy Grades for Cookware Aluminum Discs

The main aluminum alloys used for anodized cookware discs are 1-series pure aluminum (1060, 1070, 1100) and 3-series anti-rust aluminum (3003).
They are available in thicknesses from 0.4 to 6.0 mm and diameters from 50 to 1600 mm, and can be customized according to customer requirements.

Anodizing Process Flow

Aluminum disc stamping → deburring → cleaning and degreasing

Chemical pretreatment: alkali and acid washing to remove surface impurities

Anodizing: electrochemical process to form an oxide film of approximately 5-25 μm

Sealing: prevents contamination of the oxide layer and enhances corrosion resistance

Surface inspection → coating: combined with non-stick layers such as PTFE or ceramic coatings

Advantages of Anodized Aluminum Circle Discs

1. High surface wear resistance: Hardness can reach HB200+, greatly improving scratch resistance.

2. Excellent corrosion resistance: Dense oxide film isolates air, moisture, and acidic or alkaline ingredients.

3. Good thermal conductivity: Aluminum conducts heat quickly, ensuring even heating and reducing burning.

4. Aesthetic appearance: Can achieve silver, brushed, or mirror finishes, supporting brand differentiation.

5. Food-safe and environmentally friendly: Free of harmful substances and suitable for direct contact with food.

6. Compatible with automated production: High roundness and flatness are suitable for spinning and high-speed production lines.

Application Scenarios
