Which aluminum sheet materials can be bent?
The hardness of the aluminum plate is the key to whether the bending cracks. If the hardness of the aluminum plate is too high, it is easy to crack. The hardness of the aluminum plate is related to the grade and state of the aluminum plate.
Refer to which aluminum plates can be bent from the following three aspects:
Aluminum plate hardness
1.Types of aluminum plates that can be bent: Usually, 1 series, 3 series and 5 series aluminum plates are commonly used for bending.
2.Aluminum plate grade series that cannot be used for bending: 6 series and 7 series have high hardness, and are generally delivered in the state of medium and thick aluminum plates, which are not used for bending. If bending, they should be annealed to O state before bending.
Aluminum plate grade
1.Pure aluminum hardness is not very high, commonly used 1060, 1100, 1050, etc. can be bent
2.3 series aluminum-manganese alloy aluminum plate: 3003, 3005, 3A21, etc. can also be bent;
3.5 series aluminum-magnesium alloy plate, 5052H32 is the most commonly used, and it will not crack when bent at 90 degrees.
Status of aluminum sheet
1.The state of aluminum plate is divided into full hard, semi-hard and soft state (usually soft state is called O state)
2.Hard state: The bending effect of full hard is basically not good. For example, H18, H19, H38, etc. are all hard.
3.Soft state: O state, 5052-O state, 5083-O state, etc. Soft state bending is definitely no problem. The zero-degree bending angle is 180 degrees. This state must be used, which is suitable for some special-purpose products. Because it is too soft and the strength is a little lower, the application is relatively less.
